Meredith, Joan Graham

Mrs. Joan Graham Meredith, 77, passed peacefully on October 21, 2025, at Heritage Hall in Blacksburg, where she had resided since 2014.

Joan was born on October 24, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Harry Miller and Mildred Adele Hilton Graham. She grew up in the Tom’s Creek and Price’s Fork communities of Montgomery County, making her home in Price’s Fork. Joan was employed by Poly-Scientific and Northrop Grumman, which later became Moog, and retired after more than 30 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Wayne Meredith. Coleman Lee Hilton (uncle) and Mardell Williams Hilton (mother-in-law). She is survived in death by her son, Daryl Wayne Meredith and wife Renee, brother-in-law, Johnny Meredith and wife Kathy, and three special nephews, Darnell Harvey, Randy Hilton, and Ricky Hilton.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall for the care and love they provided for Joan. During her time there, she developed close friendships with staff and other residents and considered them her second family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Westview Cemetery in Blacksburg, with Pastor Ben Whittaker officiating.
