Menagerie Opens August 16“The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is proud to present Menagerie, one of our most beloved annual exhibits, celebrating the diverse talents of artists residing in Virginia’s New River Valley region,” says Savannah Penven, program manager and curator at the center. The show opens Aug. 16, with a reception Thursday, Aug. 22, 5 to 7 p.m.

Menagerie stands out for its inclusivity, welcoming art of any subject or theme. “This open approach ensures a vibrant and eclectic collection, reflecting our community’s rich, creative spirit,” she says. “This year’s show is particularly notable, with a record-breaking 35 artists submitting work.

Menagerie is on view at the Fine Arts Center in Pulaski at 21 West Main St., Pulaski, VA from August 16 to October 5, 2024.

“Join us at the Fine Arts Center to experience the unique ‘menagerie’ of perspectives from talented artists of the New River Valley,” says Penven.

Menagerie’s reception, open to the public, features light refreshments and a cash bar serving wine and beer.

Some artwork contains mature content and may not be suitable for children.
