Meadowbrook Museum Shows Local Sports Memorabilia
An exhibit displaying Eastern Montgomery County sports memorabilia from the 1940s through the 1970s will be on display at the Meadowbrook Museum in Shawsville from 10 am to noon on Saturday, October 15 and Saturday, October 22. The exhibit features old photographs and news articles, as well as vintage banners, posters, jackets, sports equipment, and many other items.
Founded in 2006, the museum’s mission is to preserve the history of Eastern Montgomery County communities, families, businesses, schools, and historic sites. The permanent collection includes images, records, artifacts, first-hand accounts, and other local historic memorabilia.
The museum is located in the Meadowbrook Community Center, 267 Alleghany Spring Road, Shawsville.
