McLawhorn, Margie Johnson
Margaret (Margie) Edna Johnson McLawhorn, 86 of Pulaski, born in Richmond VA, was the daughter of the late Sterling White and Edna Rose Reese Johnson. Margaret died on December the 17th.
She was married to Clifton McLawhorn, her husband of 64 years, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joel Alan McLawhorn.
Margaret was a member of the Dublin Christian Church. She graduated from New Port News High School and studied at Cincinnati Bible Seminary. She retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pittsburgh Division, WV, Resident Agency. Prior to that she was Administrative Assistant at Grove United Methodist Church, Radford, for many years.
Margaret served as a partner in ministry with Clifton for over 50 years in the areas of music and church administration. They served locally at Community Christian Church, Newbern, and Dublin Christian Church. They also served churched in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Margaret is survived by a son, Barry McLawhorn daughter in law, Brenda McLawhorn and Brendas daughters: Joyce Watson, Fiona Slobidian, Marie Brady, and their spouses, children and grandchildren; granddaughters: Caitlin McLawhorn and Keelie McLawhorn; two sisters: Shirley J. (Clifford W.) LaFleur, and Sharon L. Coe, and their children and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on December the 22nd at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at 11am. Entombment will follow. The McLawhorn family is in the care of Norris Funeral Services Pulaski.
