McGhee, Darrell Lee

Darrell Lee McGhee, age 64, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg, VA. Born July 11, 1961, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson McGhee and Virginia Catherine Terry McGhee.

Darrell was a hard worker, having worked as a farmer throughout his life. He was an avid James Monroe, WVU Mountaineers, and Cincinnati Reds fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Bradley; and brothers-in-law, Randy Bradley and Roger Pollard.

Survivors include two brothers, Charles Wayne McGhee and wife Debbie of Peterstown, WV, and Gene Edward McGhee and wife Becky of Pearisburg, VA; five sisters, Margaret Ann Pollard of Lindside, WV; Barbara Ellen Miller and husband Leroy of Cashmere, WV, Alma Louise Ball and husband Tommy of Peterstown, WV, Linda Kay Stables and husband Timmy of Narrows, VA, and Connie Sue Dunbar and husband Edwin of Union, WV; two special nephews, Scottie Bradley and Brandon McGhee; and several other extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Bradley Cemetery in Lindside, WV, with Barry Harper officiating.
