McCracken, Jerry Glenn

Jerry Glenn McCracken, age 72 of Rock Camp, West Virginia passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Born August 30, 1953 in Bristol, Virginia he was the son of the late Glenn Earnest McCracken and Nell Boyd McCracken.

Prior to becoming disabled, Jerry worked for twenty-eight years with Norfolk Southern Railway. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature. He especially liked watching the deer in his yard.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Paula Prater; one son, Timothy McCracken of Rocky Mount, Virginia; one daughter, Wendy Sanchez Ruiz and husband, Tito of Kernersville, North Carolina; two sisters, Debra McCracken of Welch, West Virginia and Andrea Muncy and husband, David of Bristol, Tennessee; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and Paula’s daughter, Heather Morgan and husband, Josh of Pineville, West Virginia.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
