Glenda is survived by her husband, the Reverend Dr. Thomas Ryland McCann; three children, Mara Beth Scott of Canada, Eddie Martin (Gerin) of Lynchburg, Va. and David Martin of Callands, Va.; and her eight grandchildren whom she referred to as her “life brighteners”, Charlie Martin, Dylan Stephens, Emily Scott, Alan Scott, Maddie Martin, Clair Martin, Bryce Martin and Grace Martin; sons, Scott McCann (Sally) of Winterville, N.C. and Stephen McCann (Kara) of Panama City Beach, Fla.; daughter, Jane McCann Wiseman (Eddie) of Hickory, N.C.; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Stories of time spent on Smooth Crusin’ II on the Virginia coast, her fierce belief that we love our neighbors without qualification, her appreciation for music, trips to the beach with her “life brighteners,” and the gift of Lifesaver books at Christmas will be forever carried in our hearts. Glenda’s was a life well lived.
