Martin, Sr., William Michael

William Michael Martin, Sr. passed away on January 29, 2024 at his home in Pembroke, VA surrounded by his family. Mike was born on July 21, 1954 to Peggy E. Lytton Martin and the late William L. Martin of Christiansburg.

Mike was employed by Hubbell Lighting for almost 40 years and enjoyed his retirement. Mike enjoyed the outdoors; was a pitcher for softball teams in his twenties; enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf; visiting Pigeon Forge; and his coffee group. Mike was a member of the Pembroke Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill; brother, Timmy; grandparents, Fred and Lena Lytton, and Merle and Ruby Martin.

Survivors include his mother, Peggy E Martin of Pembroke; his wife of 52 years, Patty Gerald Martin; son, William Mike Martin Jr and wife Stephanie of Pembroke; daughter, Melanie Anne Davis and husband Gregory of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Cheyenne D. Dunn (spouse Alex), Hannah M. Alexander (spouse Conner); Hunter Davis (wife, Kayla); and Madison Smith (spouse John); his great-grandchildren and the loves of his life, Caroline and Jensen Dunn, Winnie Lee, and Brandon Alexander; and his best four-legged friend, Mole Cat.
