Martin, Micheal DavidMicheal David Martin, a man known for his kindness and friendly demeanor, passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 51. Born on June 9, 1973, in Radford, Virginia, Micheal lived a life marked by love for his family, passion for the outdoors, and a talent for wood crafting. His unexpected departure due to a house fire in Narrows, Virginia, has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him.

Micheal, was the cherished husband of Heather Sprouse Martin. He was a beloved son to Brenda Runions Martin and the late Bobby Martin, a guiding light to his son Bryson Martin, and a role model to his step-son Levi Sadler. His mother-in-law Jenetta Sprouse, along with his father-in-law Allen and Anna Mae Sprouse, held him in high regard, as did his niece Emilee Sprouse, his uncle Uncle David Danforth; aunt and uncle, Jimmy and Janice Martin; best friend, Matt Bailey; and special friends, Kristie and Derrick Lang. Micheal was preceded in death by his father Bobby Martin, his brother-in-law Stephen Sprouse, his niece Marley Sprouse, and his grandparents Lola Runions, Betty Martin, and Carl Martin.

Micheal first gave of his service in dedication to the Army National Guard. Micheal’s zest for life was evident in his love for the great outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace and joy in the serene landscapes of Virginia’s forests and waterways. His hands were skilled in the art of woodcrafting, where he channeled his creativity and attention to detail into beautiful, tangible expressions of his inner spirit. Whether he was cheering on his favorite football team or sharing his latest catch with friends, Micheal’s enthusiasm was infectious.

Those who were fortunate enough to know our gentle friend, Micheal will remember his kind heart and friendly smile. He had an innate ability to make people feel welcome and valued, a trait that endeared him to many. The family will receive friends in a time of visitation on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel to celebrate the life he gave with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Giles County Animal Shelter in honor of the love that Micheal had for all animals.
