Manross, Ira

Ira Manross, 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at his home. Mr. Manross was born on July 12, 1938, in Reesedale, PA to William Reed Manross and Cornelia Goldsborough Manross.

After graduating from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV, Ira embarked on a lifelong career in education that included administration and teacher positions in Virginia, Vermont, and West Virginia. Mr. Manross was a member of the Blacksburg Christian Church.

Ira is survived by his wife, Joan, his children Mark Manross of Leland, NC, Dean Manross of McDonough, GA, 2 nephews and one niece, and 4 grandchildren. His older brother, Bill Manross passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020.
