Manhunt suspect arrested

Christiansburg Police today arrested a man suspected of running from an Interstate 81 traffic stop on Tuesday and launching a two-day manhunt.

At 3:11 p.m., Christiansburg Police received a call from a homeowner who had spotted an unidentified male in his yard, matching the description of the suspect. Officers responded to the area of Houchins Road, and upon their arrival, the suspect ran. He was quickly captured. There were no injuries during the incident.

Jesus Alberto Hernandez-Lobe, 29, is in custody at the Montgomery County Jail and has been served warrants for kidnapping and assault and battery out of Harrisonburg. Any additional inquiries should be directed to Virginia State Police or the Harrisonburg Police Department.
