Man killed in alleged break-in

A man is dead after breaking into a Pulaski home around 4 am this morning. Pulaski Police responded to reports of a breaking and entering in progress with shots fired at a residence in the 300 block of South Madison Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a man dead as a result of a gunshot wound. Pulaski Police Department said the man was shot by a resident of the home.

The identity of the man who died has not been released.
