Long, Jr., Robert Lee

Robert Lee Long, Jr., age 37, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born May 25, 1985, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of Robert Lee Long, Sr. of Princeton, WV, and the late Gloria Faye Davis Long. Robert worked as a handyman. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, maternal and paternal grandmothers, maternal and paternal grandfathers, one step-grandfather, and four uncles.

In addition to his father, survivors include one brother, Joshua Long of Princeton, WV; two sisters, Gloria Pennington and Barbara Longanacre, both of Princeton, WV; three nieces, three nephews, and five great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, he will be cremated. A time of fellowship and celebration of Robert’s life will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.
