Long, Charles Dewey
Charles Dewey Long, 80, of Peterstown, WV, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his home with loving care of his significant
other, Elizabeth Agee. Born September 3, 1944, at Red Sulphur Springs, WV, he was the son of the late Howard and Anna Mae Copeland Long.
Survivors include a sister, Alma Sloan and husband Judson of Peterstown; a son, two grandsons, and a granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Long; his daughter, April Brookman; two brothers, Jimmy and Tommy Long; and two sisters, Freda Poulter and Norma Hamons.
Charles worked as a master mechanic, setting up and maintaining corrugated box machinery in factories. He was always taking care of family and loved life. There are too many to name that he leaves behind, but you know who you are.
An Angel on earth has returned to the Lord. He will be missed. I can hear him say, “Tell me a story” and then laugh. Charles wanted all to know the love he shared. “Remember me the way I was.”
Per his request, Charles will be cremated with no services.
