Lindsey, Lillian McClanahanLillian Delores Lindsey peacefully departed this life on October 26th 2024 after a short battle with pneumonia. She was born to parents Lawrence and Louise McClanahan in Pulaski, Va.

She met the love of her life Henry A. Lindsey in Radford, Va. where she remained until her passing. Lillian was the oldest of nine siblings. She was a dedicated daughter, faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Rev. Henry A. Lindsey Sr. and her daughter Carolyn, parents Lawrence and Louise McClanahan, sister Phoebe, brothers Lawrence Jr., Patrick, and Robert, grandsons Shakeem and Trakin, great grandson Miles, and brother in law Homer James Jr.

She attended Christiansburg Institute where she obtained her high school diploma. She was very well known for her acts of kindness and helping hand throughout the New River Valley, Roanoke City and County, and the town of Vinton.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Henry Jr, Tina, David (Jennifer), Shirley, and Homer III; siblings Lucy, Fanny, Jenny and James; sister in law Ann (Bill); special niece Patricia (Angelo), and special nephews, Billy, Michael (Ellen), and Timothy; grandchildren Katina (Morris), Johna, Chelsea (Jason), Sheletta, Shaquille, Darrius, Davonta, Zachary, Homer IV, Damarria, Richard; great grandchildren Antoinette, Trinity, Serenity, Davinity, KaJina, Michael, Angel, Demetrius, Zaylynn, Amelia, Emma, Maverick, and Malia; great-great grandson Jeremiah, numerous cousins, friends and special family friend Rev. Leslie Dean.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 3:00PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 1:00PM at the church. Interment will be held in Mountain View Cemetery, Radford, VA. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Service
