Lifelong Learning Institute at Virginia Tech 4The Lifelong Learning Institute at Virginia Tech is a member-driven, volunteer organization that draws on the wealth of academic and community resources in the New River Valley and beyond to provide intellectual, cultural, and social experiences for curious adults 50 and older.

36 courses will be offered for Fall 2023 – something for everyone! Explore topics like native plants, karst science – from sinkholes to speleology, the natural history of Darwin’s Galapagos, modern Africa, Lawrence of Arabia, the Roberts Court and criminal justice, the Love Poetry of Nikki Giovanni, and so much more. There are loads of technology how-to classes and plenty of opportunities for small classes to engage your creative spirit. Both Zoom (7 courses) and in-person classes (29) are available. Online learning options are great if you live at a distance and want to participate from your own home. Free special events are a great member benefit. Four Zoom webinar and seven free in-person lectures at Warm Hearth are on the schedule. You may sign up for as many of these events as you plan to attend.

Fall course registration begins September 6th at 10 am. Many courses fill up quickly. To ensure you have a spot, be sure to sign up early.
