LewisGale Pulaski Names New Chief Nursing Officer
LewisGale Hospital Pulaski has hired Kevin Garner, RN, as chief nursing officer for the 147-bed acute-care medical and surgical facility. He will be responsible for all nursing services.
“Kevin’s diverse background, compassion for patients, and commitment to high-quality care will allow us to continue reaching new heights in clinical excellence,” stated Sean Pressman, chief executive officer of LewisGale Hospital Pulaski. “His proven track record in leadership will be a significant asset for our outstanding nursing team.”
Garner brings over 20 years of nursing leadership experience to his new role including working in Med-Surg, telemetry, critical care, emergency room, dialysis, and cardiovascular services. Previously, he served as assistant chief nursing officer for Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, where he supported management of resources, strategic planning, and development of continuous performance improvement initiatives to improve quality of care.
Additionally, Garner served in the U.S. Coast Guard as an electronics technician, EMT/medic, and maritime law enforcement team member.
Garner earned a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Florida and later graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Southern University.
