Level, Jeffery Garland

Jeffery Garland Level of Roanoke, VA passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022. “Jeff” was born on January 26, 1954, in Smyrna, TN. The son of the late James “Dan” Level and Peggy Ann Carter Level.

Jeff was a graduate of Desert High School, Edwards AFB, CA. He later attended RIT, NY studying graphic communications with a focus on typography which became a passion in his professional and personal life. He was recognized as a leader in the field of type working for Autologic and Monotype. In later years, he regularly published the Miscellanist; personal collections of family history, poetry, lyrics, illustrations, and reflections.

Surviving are his sisters, Patricia Level (daughter Kirsten) and Priscilla Kembel (husband David and children: Erica, Austin, and Michelle and husband Tyler), his aunt and uncle, Judith and Paul Stafford, uncle, Bobby Joe Level (wife Sandra), other cousins and family members.

Service to be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the Presbyterian Church, 114 Easley Street, Pearisburg, VA at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pearisburg Presbyterian Church or the Rescue Mission of Roanoke, VA.
