Lester, Jeannie Mae

Regenna “Jeannie” Mae Lester, age 74, of Peterstown, WV, woke up in the arms of Jesus on Sunday, November 30, 2025. She was born to the late Rev. Ray and Hassie Blankenship on September 2, 1951, in Welch.

Known as Jeannie her whole life, her favorite title was Jessa’s Nae Nae. She loved the Lord and served Him wholeheartedly. She loved to feed people and enjoyed cooking for those she loved. Her wise council, prayers, hugs, and loving heart will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents along with one sister, Kathy Vance, and several brothers and sisters in-law.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leonard Lester; her daughter and son-in-law whom she loved as her own, Amanda and Heath Hill; one granddaughter, her pride and joy, Jessa Hill, all of Peterstown; her sister, Kim (Ed) Toler of Ikes Fork, whom she loved as her oldest daughter; nieces, Tabitha (Okey) Rowe, Tiffany (Jeremy) Kennedy, and Tracie Toler of Ikes Fork, whom she loved as grandchildren along with their children; a sister, Judith Riffe of Jonesborough, TN; two brothers-in-law, Charles (Brenda) Lester of Princeton and Jack Vance of Fanrock; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy Lester and Betty Lester of Ballard; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown with Brother Homer Blankenship, Jr. and Brother Jackie Jessie officiating. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA, with Heath Hill, Jeremy Kennedy, Payton Kennedy, Okey Rowe, Ed Toler, and Chester Blevins serving as pallbearers.

A visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the funeral home.
