King, Will Roger

Will Roger King “Willie”, 77 of Bent Mountain, passed on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Sr. and Eloise King; siblings, Wayne King, Cora Lewis King, and Howard King “Chip”.

Willie worked and lived on his family farm all of his life. Growing vegetables, apples, peaches, and raising cattle. He loved spending time with family and friends. He spoiled his grandkids with snacks and games. Willie loved and enjoyed the simple life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy Shaver King; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Mike Perdue; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Shannon King; grandchildren, Cody Perdue, Whitney Perdue, Hannah King, Jacob King; brother and sister-in-law, Carson and Sylvia King; sister-in-law, Gladys Conner King; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Horace Light officiating. Interment will follow in the Copper Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until Noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
