Keister, Phillip Michael
Phillip Michael Keister, age 85, of Blacksburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Phillip was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church and member of Newport Masonic Lodge 261, where he entered his affiliation as an apprentice from 1973-2014. Phillip’s greatest love was his wife, Dorothy Amos Keister, whom he met while she was cheering for Radford High School Football in 1959. Their love story began with a memorable double date, leading to their marriage just six months later. They recently celebrated 64 years of marriage and together raised three daughters.
