Jones, Patty Mann

Laura “Patty” Mann Jones, age 89, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at her daughters home in Ballard, WV. Born October 14, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ottie Mann, Sr. and Ruby Miller Mann.

She was of the Baptist Faith. She was first and foremost a mother and homemaker. She was a woman of many talents from sewing and crafts. In her later life she enjoyed making memorial flower arrangements with her daughter. Throughout her life she wore many hats, from operating a restaurant, general store, hotel, sewing and alteration shop, to helping her husband with his masonry work.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donnie Jones; her second husband, John Jones; her sons, Wayne Jones and Roger Jones; siblings, Helen Adkins (Russell), Junior Mann, Henry Mann, and Norita Bailey; special friends, Anna Jean Spangler McCraw and Grace Ballard.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Jones Sanderson (Tim) of Ballard, WV; granddaughter, Mandy Sanderson Garcia (David) of Troutville, VA; grandson, Matthew Sanderson of Ballard, WV; great granddaughter, Wren Garcia of Troutville, VA; sister-in-law, Ruth Mann Pence; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are four special girls that she enjoyed spending time with and that called her mom, Katy Fox, Marguerite Goode, Lana Baker, and Debbie Lilly.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Ballard Baptist Church Cemetery in Ballard, WV with Pastor Tim Sanderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 11:30AM at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.
