Johnson, Diana Lynn
Diana Lynn Johnson, 67 of Pearisburg, VA. died at her home on March 9, 2022. Diana was the daughter of the late Thelma Ilene Kirk Johnson and Ted James Johnson, Sr. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ted James Johnson, Jr.
Diana was an active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of the New River Ward. She held many callings in the Church and loved serving. Diana has a BS degree from Radford University, studied law, and had her own business as an abstractor.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Allen Johnson, her sister-in-law Pamela Johnson, nieces Holly Keller (Ryan) and children Aiden and Ava; Jaime Bunker (Mark) and children Reese, Owen, Avery and Cragun; Hannah Rodriguez (Josue) and daughter Cami; and Abby Shillig (Scott) and children Nora, Maverick, Iris, Esther and Alice; and a nephew, Adam Johnson (Erika).
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with Bishop Mark Bunker officiating.

I had the pleasure of working with Diana for many years as one of her church leaders. She was always ready to help and serve, most reliably. She graciously shared her musical talents whenever she was called upon. Diana had a wonderful sense of humor and kept others entertained with her stories. Her love for the Savior was evident in how she lived her life and she had many Christ-like qualities. I am certain that at some future time she will hear Him say, well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of thy Lord. She will be missed greatly both in her church community as well as the broader community of Pearisburg and the New River Valley. It is a joy to have known and worked with her.

I had the pleasure of meeting Diana when I worked in the records room. She always brightened my day and had the best stories. She will be missed and I am so thankful to have met her. May you Rest In Peace. I know the world is better because you were in it.

I never had the opportunity to meet Diana in person, but I had the pleasure of working with her for many years – she provided many of the exams I use daily. Her work was thorough, and if I ever had a question, I always knew I could go back and ask her for more assistance. While those of us who worked with her professionally will miss her, I know that doesn’t compare with how her family and friends will miss her. My condolences go out to all of you, and I wish you peace in the days ahead.
