Hunter, Christopher Devaughn
Christopher Devaughn Hunter was born on a crisp autumn day on September 11th, 2008 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was the bountiful love of his parents, Nakia Tira McBride and Charles Hunter Jr. Several years later, his younger brother, Christian, completed their loving family.
From the moment Christopher entered the world, it was evident that he was special. Christopher faced challenges that many couldn’t comprehend. He came into the world without sight and as time went on, they found he would never develop the ability to speak or walk. He relied solely on his sense of hearing to navigate the world around him. But despite his disabilities, Christopher possessed a remarkable gift—a smile that could brighten even the darkest of days.
Christopher’s smile was infectious, a beacon of light that touched the hearts of everyone he encountered. His family, friends, and teachers marveled at the way his face lit up whenever he heard their voices. A silent but profound expression of his boundless love and joy.
Everyone thought his presence was like a ray of sunshine. His disabilities didn’t stop his radiant smile. It warmed people’s hearts and reminds us of the simple blessings that God bestows on us that we all take for granted. Christophers ability to make others smile became his gift to the world—a small but powerful reminder of the importance of love, patience, and acceptance.
Despite his disabilities, his impact on those around him was immeasurable. His smile became a symbol of hope and resilience, inspiring others to embrace life challenges with courage and grace. Through his unwavering love and positivity, Christopher taught his family and community the true meaning of unconditional love and acceptance.
His smile continued to shine brightly, touching the lives of all who knew him. And though his time on Earth was brief, his legacy lives on in the hearts of those he had touched. On February 23rd, 2024, Christophers earthly journey came to an end, but his spirit lives on, forever remembered for the love and light he brought into the world.
In spite of his challenges his smile is a testament to the joy in his heart. His family and community can find solace in remembering the sense of his joy, as it guides them towards the gratitude of all the gifts God bestows on us. Christopher never performed any feats, never moved in mountains, but God used his smile to display his love.
Forever remembered, forever cherished, Christopher Hunter and his award-winning smile will forever remain a beacon of hope for all who knew him. He was loved by many and leaves a host of family and friends behind. We love you Christopher but God loves you best!
