Hollandsworth, Wanda Cox 2Wanda Lea Hollandsworth, a beloved member of the Christiansburg community, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on October 25, 1938, in Indian Valley, Virginia, Wanda’s warm spirit and nurturing presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Wanda dedicated 25 years of her life to Hubble Lighting before she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Her time at the company is fondly remembered by her colleagues and those she served throughout her career.

A devoted member of Faith Christian Church since 1987, Wanda found joy and solace through her faith, gathering with her church community and cherishing the bonds of friendship formed there. She was known for her generous heart, always making time for family and friends, whether through gardening or simply enjoying each other’s company. Wanda’s most precious legacy is undoubtedly her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lisa Rutherford and her son-in-law, Todd Rutherford. Her grandchildren, Leslie Sheppard, Lance Sheppard, and Logan Hollandsworth, brought her immense pride and joy, while her great-grandchildren—Abrianna, Haven, Skylah Lea, Braleigh, Kadence, Addison, Leland, and Layla—were a source of boundless love in her life.

Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Jabe Lee Hollandsworth, and her son, Gregory Scott Hollandsworth. She also mourned the loss of her parents, Berman Lee Cox and Ila Beatrice Altizer Cox, as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Wilkie and Bonnie Cox, and her brother-in-law, Harlen Wade.

In her daily life, Wanda was assisted and supported by the compassionate staff of Amedysis Hospice, for which her family extends special thanks.

Wanda will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but also for the warmth and love she shared with her family and friends. Her visitation will take place on January 29, 2026, at Horne Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Christiansburg, Virginia, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery, where family and friends will gather for the burial at 3:00 PM.

Wanda Lea Hollandsworth’s memory will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
