Hinkle, James Allen

James “Jim” Allen Hinkle, of Peterstown, WV, went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 72 years old.

Jim was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 38 years, Suanne, and a loving father to his sons and daughters. He has been blessed with several grandchildren that have brought immeasurable joy into his life.

He was born on September 5, 1951 in Richwood, WV. A proud Marine Corps Veteran and retired police officer, Jim dedicated much of his life to serving others with honor.

Jim found great fulfillment in spending time with his family. Whether it was by sharing his love for hunting and fishing, cooking family meals, storytelling, or rooting for the Mountaineers during a game, these moments are treasured by all who shared them with him. His unwavering love, reassuring presence, sense of humor, and generosity are just a few of the many great qualities he will be remembered by.

To honor Jim’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Though our hearts ache at this tremendous loss, we find comfort in knowing that his memory will forever remain a guiding light within our hearts.
