Hillerin, Virgina Kern

Virginia Kern Hilleren, age 99, of Blacksburg, VA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was born in Waynesboro, VA, on October 12, 1926, to the late Ernest O. and Lorain D. Kern. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Ernest J. “Pete” Kern, Davie L. Kern, and Jeffrey L. Kern.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda H. Reed (Gene) of Christiansburg, VA; her grandchildren Stacey R. Currie of Dublin, VA, and Leslie I. Currie of Wilmington, NC. She also had three great-grandchildren, Kameran J. Currie of Christiansburg, VA, Kyleigh I. Wilson of Wilmington, NC, and Jayme L. Gilmore of Radford, VA.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, from 3 -5 pm at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg, VA.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 28, at 11 a.m. at Augusta Memorial Park, The Garden of the Resurrection in Waynesboro, VA.
