Hill, Everett Junior
Everett Junior Hill, age 82, of Rich Creek, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA. Born April 27, 1942, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Hill and Effie Cecil Hill.
Everett was a life-long brick mason doing work at Virginia Tech, East River Mountain and Big Walker Mountain tunnels, and many area homes. He was a member of the Rich Creek United Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge. He loved Virginia Tech Hokie football.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Hill; brother, George Hill; and sisters, Kathryn Morehead, Agness Nunley, and Florence Via.
He is survived by his wife, Francis Stowers Hill; and his son, Thomas Hill and wife Shannon of Sparta, KY. Additionally, Everett was the proud grandfather of Brooke Hill, and proud great grandfather of Kaylee Hearn and Thomas Chase Hearn. He is also survived by special niece, Debbie Hill (Keith), and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Pete Dunford officiating. Burial will follow at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
