Heslep, Crystal Songer
Crystal Gail Heslep, of Christiansburg, Virginia, passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 48. She was born on June 12, 1976 to Mickel (Ike) Songer and Rhonda Smith.
As a teenager and throughout her life, she had a passion for skating, she loved the beach, and loved spending time with her friends and family. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. She dedicated the last twenty-three years of her life to loving and raising her daughter, Chelsie Chrisley.
She left behind her daughter, Chelsie Chrisley (Lisa Burgess), her husband, Gary Heslep Jr. her mother, Rhonda S. Akers, her father and stepmother Mickel and Glenda Songer, her grandmother, Nancy Smith, her two siblings, Michael and Pamela Songer, and her stepsister, Amber Lane. She also left behind her lifelong best friend, Jennifer Hurd Matherly, along with her “little buddy” Ariella McCall.
Crystal is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lawerence Smith, her paternal grandparents, Edwin and Mattie Songer, along with her stepfather, Alexander Akers.
