Havens, Sue Conwell
Rebecca “Sue” Conwell Havens, 72, of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord at her home on Wolf Creek in Narrows, VA, surrounded by the love of her family on January 4, 2026. Sue was born on December 17, 1953, in Pearisburg, VA. to the late Guy Harold Conwell and Pauline Hare Conwell.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in- law, Marie Kelley Lewis and Dewey Ed Havens and her brothers-in-law, Eddie Havens and Marvin Munsey.
Sue was a homemaker where she cared for each of her grandchildren who she adored more than anything else in the world.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, David “Spider” Havens of Narrows, her daughters, Paula Moore (Jeff) of Peterstown, WV., and Kelly Booth (Cory) of Narrows, 6 grandchildren, Jacob Ballard (Carley), Ethan Meadows, Will Booth, Tyler Moore (Amanda), Cody Moore (Ericah), Rachel Kingery (Mark), 4 great grandchildren, Rhett and Ryder Moore, Brandon and Calli Kingery, sister, Emily Munsey of Pearisburg, brothers-in-law, Wayne Havens (Debbie) of Pearisburg, Jimmy Havens (Betty Jo) of Patrick Springs, very special family members, JoAnn Gunter (Buck), Marvin Perkins (Rhonda) and Penny Bowles (Tim), along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 10am at East Chapel Church (Wolf Creek), Narrows with Pastor Jerry Hagerman and Pastor Ricky Green officiating with burial following in the Shrader Family Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Home in Narrows on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8pm. Special thanks to Dr. Elliott Freed’s office, the staff at Giles Pharmacy, her special caregivers, Rachel Wood and Helen Perdue and to Gentiva Hospice and her hospice nurse, Lydia Wright. Serving as pallbearers are, Jacob Ballard, Tyler Moore, Cody Moore, Jeff Moore, Cory Booth, Donnie Evans and honorary pallbearers, Ethan Meadows and Will Booth
