Harris, Peggy Peters

Hilda “Peggy” Harris, 94 of Floyd, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, April 26, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, Posey Harris; parents, Charles & Arizona Peters; five brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Kirby & Janet Harris, Benny & Pam Harris; daughter & son-in-law, Gail & George Phillips; grandchildren, Diana & Brian Davis, Chad & Meagan Harris, Michael & Lynnsey Harris, Ryan Phillips & Rebecca Wiseman, Evan & Morgan Phillips, Haley & Alex Gates and Adam & Caitlyn Scaggs; great-grandchildren, Reagan & Grayson Harris, Avri, Brylee & Camden Phillips, Jaxon & Callie Gates and Harper & Peyton Scaggs; special nephew, Randall Nolen and special friends Virginia Williams and Carolyn Shockley.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Floyd United Methodist Church for 70 years.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Timothy Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
