Hamilton, Marie Conley

Marie Conley Hamilton, 82 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Marie was born on June 6, 1941, up Wolf Creek in Narrows, VA and was a daughter of the late Luther Martin Conley and Virginia Blankenship Conley.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband who she loved and adored for 56 years, Buford Hade Hamilton, son, Gary Lee Hamilton, grandson, Christopher Wayne Hamilton, sister, Euna Mae Conley and a daughter-in-law, Karen Hamilton.

Marie helped and worked for a lot of people in her community. She also enjoyed cleaning and being a part of the Givens – Riffe Funeral home family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved cooking and having family get togethers. She was a devoted caregiver for her brother Willie.

She is survived by 3 sons, Terry W. Hamilton of NC, Darrell R. Hamilton (Cindy) of NC, Buford “Tator” Hamilton (Jennifer) of Christiansburg, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brother, William Conley of Christiansburg, her special sisters, Bobbie Jones, Jean Ferguson, Allie Riffe and Joyce Riffe, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and her special friends James Riffe, Tyler Riffe and Robert Givens.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA with Pastor Tony Robertson officiating with burial following in the Conley – Johnston Family Cemetery in Narrows, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour before the service from 1 – 2pm.
