Hall, Charles Noel

Retired Special Sergeant and medic in the United States Army, Charles Noel Hall, age 82, of Christiansburg, passed away, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at New River Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Hillsville, Va., on August 2, 1941, to the late William Raymond and Minnie Cornelia Howlett Hall. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cora Louise Huff, Bernice Hall (Bill) Iroler, Helen Lucille Hall (Wayne) Webb, Raymond Douglas Hall, Wallace Reed Hall, and Larry Dean Hall.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linda C. Hall; daughters, Kelli H. Whitaker (Steven Jr.), Noella H. King (David), Melinda L. Cumbee (Richie); grandkids, Steven Whitaker III(fiancé Alyssa Boyd), Courtney Cumbee (Trenton Wooddell), Drew King (Allie), Cameron King (fiancé Sydnee Smith), Cody King; great-grandson, Boone Neil Wooddell; brother-in-law, Jerry Crawford, and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Service will be conducted Monday, January 22, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 P.M. before the service Interment will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Program or Disabled American Veterans.
