Grant to Virginia Tech for Kidney Therapy Research
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Virginia Tech a $616,104 grant for research related to renal fibrosis. Renal fibrosis impacts the kidneys and is linked to chronic kidney disease. U.S. Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement:
“The National Kidney Foundation states that one in three American adults are at risk for kidney disease.
“This grant for $616,104 helps Virginia Tech study the impacts of therapies related to kidney disease.”
