Gillenwater, Donald Thomas
Donald Thomas Gillenwater, 89, of Radford passed away on January 19, 2024. Don worked most of his career at the VDOT in Christiansburg. He and his wife were members at the Alleghany Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill Gillenwater and Iva Thompson Gillenwater Baker; brothers, Jim, Nelson and Sydney Gillenwater; and two sister who died as children. Donald is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Carolyn Gillenwater; son, Wayne Gillenwater and wife, Megan; grandchildren, Avree and Ayden Gillenwater; sister, Lossie Nester; cat, Timmy; and several nieces and a nephew.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 21 at the Alleghany Church of Christ. A memorial service will follow at 3 at the church with . Porter Riner officiating.

My prayers goes out to the family.don was a great guy I really enjoyed knowing and working with him over the years .I rember when he worked at the Radford rest area everytime I’d see him he would has a smile on his face.like I said he was a great guy
