Deborah Ann Gallimore, age 65, of Christiansburg, passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2020 at her home in the Price’s Fork community of Montgomery County, Va. due to an unfortunate house fire.

Debbie was born at Radford Hospital on November 5, 1954, and was the daughter of the late June Wilson Gallimore and Edsel Avery Gallimore. In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her brother Michael Avery Gallimore.

Debbie is survived by her brother Kevin Douglas Gallimore of Grottoes, VA, and her sister Patricia Lynn Gallimore of Draper, VA, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. We would like to recognize lifelong friends, Pansy Gerald and Joyce Jarels Randal. Debbie was loved by her family and many friends. She was a 1972 graduate of Blacksburg High School.

Debbie loved all animals including snakes and insects, and once had a goat named William. She tenderly cared for her beloved dogs and kitties through the years, as if they were her children. Growing flowers was a passion of hers, and she was blessed as a talented photographer. She blessed her family and friends with her many pictures she started taking many years ago. She lived for many years in the Price’s Fork community, and loved the “holler “ where she hiked many miles. Debbie had secretarial employment and last worked at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.

Debbie’s wishes were to be cremated, and her cremains to be scattered in a special place. There will be a private gathering of family and close friends, and it will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter. Keep your loved ones close. Use smoke alarms and be safe around space heaters. Thank you all for your outpouring of love and support. God bless you all.
