Fisher, Jr., Ralph Sherman

Ralph Sherman Fisher, Jr., 61, of Newport, passed away on January 9th, 2024, surrounded by family in his home. He was born on December 28th, 1962 to Ralph and Linda Saunders Fisher.

Ralph enjoyed spending time with the people he loved. He truly never met a stranger, and would do anything for a friend. Professionally, Ralph was employed with Food Lion for nearly 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 26 years, Shelia Fay Helems Fisher; as well is his father, Ralph Fisher, Sr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Linda Fisher; brother, Ricky Fisher and wife Sandy; nieces, Maggie Fisher (Layton Bell), and Morgan Durham and husband Luke; special “nephew”, Danny Savage; special “granddaughter” Evie Dudding whom he loved as his own; his companion, Julie Martin, and special friends, Angia Anderson and Arthur Ratcliffe, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cherished friends.
