Ferrier, Joshua Gray

Joshua Gray Ferrier, of Christiansburg, Virginia born on May 6, 1991, to Louis Ferrier Jr. and Terri Ferrier, passed away at the age of 27 on May 23, 2018 in Bryan, Texas.

Josh was incredibly bright, being honored as salutatorian for the Christiansburg High School graduating class of 2009. Josh went on to attend Roanoke College where he met his wife Emily Herron. He was passionate about politics, poetry, music, singing and cooking. He served as the Southwest Virginia’s Campaign Manager for Obama’s second term, was a member of the college choir and a men’s acapella group (Looking For an Echo). Josh loved the Spanish language, culture and food. He was a loyal friend to so many who will greatly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Stella Temple Ferrier and Earnestine “Dinky” Suddarth. Joshua is survived by his parents, wife, son (Joshua Brennan Gray Ferrier); his sister, Rebekkah Corkey, her husband, Matthew and their son Jedidiah; his grandfathers, Louis Ferrier Sr. and his wife Lori and Robert Suddarth Sr. and his wife Viola; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 2 at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Life Baptist Church, 1640 Peppers Ferry Rd NW, Christiansburg.
