Fatal DUI brings 3 1/2-year sentence for Floyd County man
A Floyd County man pleaded guilty Tuesday to involuntary manslaughter and intoxicated driving in a crash that killed his passenger almost a year ago.
Zachary Jonah Tod Quesenberry, 21, of Willis, was convicted on the manslaughter and driving under the influence charges and sentenced to serve 3½ years behind bars. Judge Marc Long suspended another 7½ years of prison time.
Defense attorney Brad McConnell of Blacksburg said that Quesenberry is very sorry about the crash, which took the life of Quesenberry’s friend Morgan Daniel Phillips, 18, of Indian Valley. Read more at Roanoke Times
