Evans, Flois Brewster 4Flois Maxine Brewster Evans departed this life March 21, 2023 to meet her Heavenly Father and join her loved ones who went on before her namely her parents, John Edward Brewster and Verna Asbury Brewster Light; Melva Wendeback and husband Fred Wendeback; step-father, Roscoe Light; step-brother, Leon Light; and great-nephew, Kaleb Soldz.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 63 years, James Howard Evans, Sr., son James Howard Evans Jr (Kathryn); daughter, Vera Ellen Evans Epling (Tim); granddaughters, Illianna Ann Hammond (Justin) and Amelia Epling; step-brother, Richard Light; step sister-in-law, Cindy Light; step niece, Susan Bland (Ronnie); step nephews, Wade Bland and Jonathan Light; niece, Robyn Boothe; nephew, Jarid Soldz; sisters and brothers in law, Jonie Stafford, Shelby Kerr (Gary), Barbara Palmer (Fred), Eugene Evans (Evelyn), and George Evans (Dorothy).

Flo as her friends called her loved her Lord and read her Bible daily. She loved distributing “Sunshine Baskets” to those who were ill, recuperating from an illness, or who needed a “Sunshine Blessing”.

There will be a funeral service conducted for Flo on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Riverview Baptist Church with Pastors Shahn Wilburn and Mike Mitchener officiating. Funeral services will conclude in Birchlawn Abbey in Pearisburg, VA. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Riverview Baptist Church.
