Evans, Clarence Eugene

Clarence Eugene Evans, 82 of Narrows departed this life January 15, 2023 in the care of Highland Ridge Nursing Home in Dublin, VA. Born in Giles County on June 1, 1940 he was a son of the late Cecil Clarence Evans and Ella Ann Dalton Bonds.

Clarence retired as a painter with Radford Arsenal and Ammunition Plant. He enjoyed cooking, dogs, watching westerns, and his beloved horses.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances St Clair Evans; son, Clarence William Evans; grandson, Christopher Evans; brother; Arthur Evans; and sisters, Mary McGuire, and Louise McPherson.

Left to cherish his memory to their hearts are his sons, Gary Evans of Roanoke, VA, Teddy Evans of Princeton, VA; daughters, Carolyn St. Clair of Pearisburg, and Betty Lang (Russell) of Narrows; grandchildren, Stacey Parton, Holly Litchford, Gary Evans Jr, Ross Lang, and Manda; great-grandchildren, Noah Parton, Deanna Parton, Joey Nista, Nicky Nista, Gary Evans III, and Peyton Evans; sister, Ruby Shrewsberry (Andy) of Narrows; and half-brother, Tommy Bonds of Pearisburg.

There will be a funeral service conducted for Mr. Evans on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Funeral services will conclude at Birchlawn Burial Park. Family will receive friends at Kendall Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
