Eubank, Margaret Yancey
Margaret Yancey Eubank, 75, of Elliston and formerly of Salem, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Mrs. Eubank was born June 23, 1942 in Richmond, Va., a daughter of the late Stephen Edison Yancey and Margaret Iris Oliver Yancey.
Margaret, also known as “Mockie,” had the most beautiful, biggest heart. She loved people, especially caring for them. She was also a lover of all animals and children. Mockie was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She was very loved and will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eubank was preceded in the death by her husband, Donald Eubank Sr.; sons, Donald Joe Eubank Jr., Tony “Eubie” Eubank; grandson, Jaylin Eubank; great-granddaughter, TaNyah; and friend, Martha Reed. Surviving her daughters Melody Whilden (Mike), Donna Hatcher (Cliff), Martie Eubank-Muse (Tim); son, James Stephen Eubank; grandchildren, Christan, Lindsey (Woody), April (Eric), Robbie, Savannah, Darion, Timara, Briana, and Malik; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Autumn, Athan, PeeWee, Cooper, Mack, Sawyer, Tationna, and Jalik; and her friend, Sarah Blevins.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnmoakey.com.
