Erdmann, Ann Kirkwood

Ann Kirkwood Grice Erdmann, 83, of Goodview, Virginia, and formerly of Elliston, Virginia and Roanoke, Virginia, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family on Monday, July 17, 2023.

She was a 1957 graduate of Shawsville High School and retired from Sears after working 30 years in the hardware department.

She was an active member of Goodview Baptist Church and read her Bible daily.

Ann was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother grandmother, neighbor, and friend.

Preceding her death were her parents, Lafayette Joseph and Hazel Kirkwood Grice; husband of 53 years, Floyd Erdmann; and sister Martha Sherrard Grice Keith.

Her surviving family includes her children, Michael Erdmann, Kevin Erdmann, and Lorri Erdmann Whisler (David): grandchildren, Tony Erdmann, Megan Erdmann, Amber Nikki Caldwell (Morgan), Kory Erdmann, Cassie Erdmann, Kelsey Whisler, and Abigail Whisler: great-grandchildren, Gabriella Gabbie Erdmann and Kilian Caldwell: many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved cat, Jasper Erdmann.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 11:00 am until Noon with a funeral service to follow in the Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park.

Ann touched the lives of many, in many ways. She was always very positive and uplifting to others. Ann was deeply loved and will be missed by all.

The family wants to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have shown their love and support during this time of loss.
