Erdelyi, Barbara Quick
Barbara Rae Erdelyi, 75, of Dublin, Virginia went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Bluefield, WV, December 17th, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Hampton and Clarice Mills Quick.
She was a retired Assistant Principal at Christiansburg Middle School. Her family and friends will sadly miss her.
Survivors include her husband Benjamin Erdelyi of Dublin, Virginia; a sister, Patricia Quick, of Cary, NC; a brother Steve Quick and wife Beverly of Little River, SC; a son Michael Clark and wife Debbie, of High Point, NC; a daughter, Kim Lester and husband Troy, of Hardy, VA; Step-Children; Benjamin J. Erdelyi Jr., Mary Erdelyi Wilson and husband George, David R. Erdelyi. Grandchildren; Shane Lester, Jeremy Lester and wife Alexis, Tyler Clark and Jared Clark; two step-grandchildren, Tori Foutz and husband Austin, Robbie Anderson and wife Lauren.Step-Grandchildren; Gabby, George, and Madeline Wilson, Lily and David Erdelyi Jr. One Great-Grandchild, Amelia Kate Lester.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Mountain View United Methodist Church with Pastor Paige Wimberly officiating the service. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View United Methodist Church.

I am so sorry to hear of Barbara’s passing. She was a wonderful mentor and beautiful friend. We shared many memories together at CMS. Thoughts and prayers are with all her family.

Barbara was an elegant woman with her jewels and fine clothes but she was an intelligent, creative colleague that I enjoyed working with. I am so sad to hear of her passing. I’ll remember her as I think over all of our times working with middle school children.
