Epperly, Matthew Patrick
Matthew Patrick Epperly, 63, of Christiansburg, passed away on June 24, 2025. Matt was born on August 15, 1961. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother Michael Epperly, his grandmother Minnie Pearl Epperly, and his father Donald Epperly.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Sandra Smith; his stepfather Rodney Smith; his sister Jennifer Gray; and his cherished nieces Kylee Michaela Ball (Nathan) and Adrienne Elizabeth Gray.
A man of deep faith, Matt was a passionate guitarist, a skilled woodworker, and someone who found great joy in playing and listening to music with his friends on the hillside, always accompanied by his loyal dog, Punkin.
Matthew will be laid to rest alongside his brother Michael at Sunset Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 7th. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Brian Barrett and Richard Witt for their enduring friendship and love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New River Valley CARES in Christiansburg, Virginia.

I remember meeting you when I was 16! I’m 60 now & it breaks my heart ❤️ to hear this! I still remember you playing your guitar & singing in your band in Brenda’s basement. It hurt so bad so many years ago when Mike died at 28yrs young! Well this cuts like a knife too. R.I.P. Matt! I’ll never forget all the good times!
