Elliston man sentenced to 25 years

On December 8, 2025, William Terrill Hurt III, age 56, of Elliston was sentenced to a 25-year prison sentence for:
• Object sexual penetration
• Aggravated sexual battery
• Indecent Liberties with a child by custodian
• Indecent liberties with a child
• Child endangerment
• Child abuse and neglect

This sentence is the result of a lengthy and thorough investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, which began in June 2024 related to incidents beginning in 2000.
