Eakin, Warren B.
Warren B. Eakin, age 93, of Catawba went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at his home. He was born in Catawba, VA on March 10, 1932, to the late Terry and Reva Gallion Eakin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lila Garman Eakin, and a granddaughter, Lori Brooke Eakin.
Warren was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the McDonald’s Mill Methodist Church. He taught ICT and DE in high Schools in Floyd and Montgomery County.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Eakin, and Roger and Jackie Eakin; grandchildren, Alisha Lyle (Ryan) and Ronald Eakin Jr. (Hannah); great-grandchildren, Reagan, Lila, Elliott, and Oliver; and a sister, Elsie Cline.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Kenny Davis and Pastor Ben Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am before the service.

So sorry to hear of Warrens passing. He was a true gentleman and we have many wonderful memories of him.

What a blessing to have known Mr. Eakin. He was a friend and an example of being a wonderful teacher. Hold onto the special memories and times you shared together. God knows your needs and He cares for you.

To all the family of Mr. Warren Eakin, my condolences go out to you over the passing of Warren. He was my DE instructor at Blacksburg high school in the seventies. I thought so much of Warren and appreciated his gentle spirit, and he was a great teacher! I’m praying the Lord comforts you as you go through these days
