Duncan, Glenda Hull

Glenda Hull Duncan, 85, passed away Tuesday December 10, 2024 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a lifelong resident of Radford and graduated from Radford High School on 1957. She married her High school sweetheart, Alva Cecil Duncan. They were married for 60 years and shared one daughter, Deanna.

Glenda was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a selfless soul and cared loving for all of her family always putting them ahead of everything else. She loved tending to her flower gardens and many pets throughout the years. Soft spoken, quick to laugh and smile and a class act always, Glenda was friendly with every person she met.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ivan Earl Hull and Lala Quesenbury Hull.

She is survived by her husband, Alva Duncan, her daughter and son in law, Deanna Duncan McRoy (Alec) and two grandchildren, Zack and Maddie McRoy and special cousins Patty, Russia and Shirley, who were like her sisters.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors of Friendship North in Roanoke who cared for in Glenda in her last months.

The family is in care of Gardner Funeral home in Floyd, Va. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, December 17th from 3-6 pm. A private family burial will be held on December 18th.
