Davis, Kevin

Davis, Kevin 2Surrounded by the love of his family, Kevin Davis passed away on January 2, 2026 following a lengthy illness at the age of 61 years. He was born in Reidsville, NC as Earl Kevin Davis to the late Theodore Earl Davis and Judith Wall Davis.

Kevin was an avid hunter, classic car lover, and fixer of all things! Throughout his lifetime, he excelled as a husband, father, “POP”, and friend. He was a skilled maintenance provider to Giles County Public Schools and the Giles County Administration from which he retired in 2018. Kevin was an integral part of New Valley Fellowship where he served as deacon for many years.

Kevin moved to Giles County after marrying the love of his life, Christina Oney Davis in 1986. For 39.5 years, they built a life to be proud of nurturing his loves, Kelly, Abby, Whitley, and Wrynn. His loss will be deeply felt.

Left to share his legacy of love and determination is his wife, Chris Davis; daughters, Kelly Davis, and Abby Blankenship and her husband Garret; his grandbabies Whitley and Wrynn will know what it meant to be loved by their “POP”; he was devoted to his babies and furbaby, Teddy. He also leaves behind brothers, Steve Davis, and Joe Thornton, plus a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank the Carilion New River Valley Wound Care Team and members of the Critical Care medical team; Erin Cole, RN; John Rudderow, DO, Rachel Rich-Forte, PA-C; and the late Bruce Long, MD for their attentive care since 2017.

The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in New Valley Fellowship in Narrows, Virginia. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM in New Valley Fellowship with Pastors Kevin Weaver and Tony Robertson officiating. Ricky Cook, Billy Cook, Tommy Gautier, Dicky St.Clair, Sonny Frazier, Marty Meredith, John Ross, Jamie Burton, and Kenny Houck will serve as pallbearers. Rick Ratcliffe and Kevin Wolfe will serve as honorary pallbearers. Funeral services will be concluded in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, Virginia where he will be laid to rest.
