Custer, David Wayne

David Wayne Custer, 55, of New Castle, Va., lost his battle with cancer on November 11, 2025. He was not alone; he was visited by family and friends.

David was born September 15, 1970, in Botetourt, Va. He is preceded in death by his mother, Willadean Adkins Pequignot and father, Redrick Custer, Sr.; brothers, Redrick Custer, Jr. and Kevin Custer; and stepsister, Mable “Tootie” Custer.

David Wayne Custer was survived by his two sons, John T. Custer, and Joshua R. Custer, daughter, Lacey Custer, grandchildren, and countless friends, most there his final days. Along with special friends TaMara Elyse Dillon and Jenny Jenkins. David Wayne Custer may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.
